During "Blackest Night," Hawkgirl, like many heroes and villains, is resurrected as a Black Lantern. Empowered by a Black Lantern power ring fueled by death, she becomes an Undead Warchick, a corrupted version of her former self.
As a Black Lantern, Hawkgirl is devoid of compassion and empathy, driven solely by the desire to extinguish hope and recruit more members into the Black Lantern Corps. She targets those close to her in life, exploiting their emotions to amplify the ring's power.
